RAYS PRIDE, never far back, raced GAY TEN into defeat before entering the stretch, then continued willingly under urging and withstood NICE TINT. The latter, a sharp factor from the start, finished gamely under punishment, but could not overtake the winner, although much the best of the others. LADY LOCKS failed to stay when set down through the stretch. GAY TEN raced with RAYS PRIDE for a half mile, then weakened. PAJARA lacked early speed and was never dangerous. DPYMY was outrun. HEDDY B., forced wide by LUCKY CHIPS entering the stretch, failed to recover. NARVIKO began slowly. MIKEABY, never far back, responded to punishment during the stretch run and, after disposing of the leaders, won going away. DR. ALEX engaged BATTLE KING until inside the stretch, raced the latter into defeat, but could not hold the winner. ROLL BAMA saved ground throughout, remained next to the inner rail for the drive and, after making a bold bid in the early stretch, lacked racing room when near the finish. BATTLE KING drifted out while racing with DR. ALEX to the last eighth, then tired. SIR HOOP could not keep up. WILKS LOSS lacked early speed. PRANDIUM raced wide into the stretch. BATTLE HOME began slowly. DANGEROUS DAN tired after racing well to the stretch. FASTENER showed nothing. RUSSELL TS was through early. Scratched-59303 Ocean Sky, 115; 603193 Eli Cookie, 118. ROY 0. overcame interference from KING WILLOW at the start, raced nearest MONTES ACE to the upper turn, then assumed command and steadily increased the advantage, winning with something left. JUST-MADE-IT saved ground while improving position to the stretch, finished strongly, uut could not get to the top one. MONTES ACE began fast, made the pace for five-eighths mile, but weakened when challenged by ROY 0. TREADA BOY failed to rally when set down for the drive. ATOKA LAD was never dangerous. FINAL EDITION, roughed after the break by KING WILLOW, showed nothing in the running. KING WILLOW swerved immediately after the start, bothered ROY 0. and FINAL EDITION, then moved up and raced willingly for a half mile before tiring. Won driving; second and third the same. TERRY"S CANE, in hand to the last three-eighths, responded readily when set down through the stretch and, after disposing of STORM BIRD, drew clear while under urging. STORM BIRD, away fast and a sharp factor from the start, opened a clear lead entering tfie stretch, but was unable to held the winner, although much the best of the others. BLEWSO lacked early speed, steadily worked way forward, but could not reach the leaders. SUGAR BEET gave a farr effort and had no excuse. IM DON began alertly, dropped back after the initial quarter mile and raced evenly, then ran off a mile after the finish. ISOCRATES began slowly and was never dangerous. TRANSATLANTIC tired after racing well to the stretch. STIMBORO was far back for the entire trip. GLORYS CHANCE saved ground from the start and had no mishap in a dull effort. PRO was through early. OUR REQUEST, in hand for a half mile, moved up strongly on the outside of WITCH WAY nearing the stretch, swerved to the inside after taking command near the three-sixteenths marker and drew clear when ridden out. WITCH WAY, never far back, took a short lead after three furlongs, continued willingly, but was unable to hold the top one although much the best of the others. SECOND AVENUE began fast, engaged WITCH WAY for a half mile, then gave way. MISS BOBBIN lacked early speed and raced wide entering the stretch. JANINA could not keep up. BULLET CEE was overmatched.
