BOBS FIRST opened up a clear lead soon after the start, saved ground, all the way and held sway until the close. BROADCASTER chased in closest pursuit of the winner all the way, but could not menace. LAST TIME, in tight quarters early, found racing room in the last five-sixteenths, but could not threaten the first two. MELOY held a forward position from the start and had no excuse. "SUE JONES was under strong urging throughout and held on well. DON CARLOS was making up ground slowly at the close. WACKET saved ground, but could not reach the leaders. The others were outrun. CALICO MISS, away in the first flight, moved clear when reaching the turn, responded to severe punishment when straightened into the stretch and held on determinedly to withstand CHIC GAL. The latter, in the thick of contention all the way, continued stubbornly after engaging the winner at the stretch turn. SUGAR JAR, on the outside from the beginning, challenged strongly noaring the stretch and came willingly in the final issue. MAPLE TINTS, away poorly, was rushed up into contention after a half mile and showed a good performance. SOLILOQUY held a forward position for five-eighths, then tired. KID GLOVE was-held safe. SAFARI was outrun. The last four at the start had no chance. OSIRANDO bolted to the inside Avhcn the start came and was left. BILLIE WISE assumed a short lead in the first quarter mile, drew clear when midway of the turn, then, saving ground, came out steadily when shaken up during the stretch run. LORRAINE S. raced forwardly in the early running, slipped through on the inside when reaching the stretch and finished courageously. TOE DANCE raced close up for the first half mile, then tired gradually in the last three-sixteenths. MUCKLE DO was hustled all the way while going forwardly, but hung under punishment when the real test came. LAST STAND could not improve his position. BRANDY SNAP closed a good gap. HAPPY FOX tired. PRETTY PATRICIA, nicely ridden, was kept in near pursuit of the early leaders while under slight restraint, went through on the inside of PATSY MACAW at the turn, then coming to the outside for the final drive, assumed an easy lead and held MISS JOKER safe. The latter, unable to hold a forward position early, rallied gamely in the last quarter mile and finished full of run. PLAYFUL BOSTON moved up stoutly when leaving the back stretch, but tired under punishment during the stretch drive. ERAN BEACH displayed good speed for a half mile, then tired. FILANA could not enter contention. PATSY MACAW was done after J half mile. CREME DE MENTHE raced in dull fashion. Scratched 23331 Far and Fast, 107. CANDY FEAST displaced PEPPER PRINCE when leaving the back stretch, saved ground and continued strongly when forced to a hard drive. CANDY POT raced close up from the start and continued stoutly when the final drive came. PEPPER PRINCE had good early speed and held on with good energy to the close. PEWTER CREST went well throughout. BIG DOLLAR was gaining steadily from a slow start. THERMAL tired. THE CORNER was placed on the outside for the start, but lacked speed after suffering interference JUDGE ROCKET was badly blocked at the turn. WAR PLANE raced poorly. SIR BYRON outran his field to the first turn, was steadied in front while meeting strong contention: from MOUTHPIECE, was placed to mild pressure when reaching the stretch and drew out smartly approaching the finish. BETHANKFUL moved up gamely in the last half mile, reached the winner, but tired in the, last eighth. OMAREEN, placed on the outside for the start, lost ground all the way, but finished gamely under severe punishment. SWIFTLET was badly blocked midway of the back stretch, recovered and closed with a belated rush. FAN raced well placed, bnt failed to rally when put to a drive. MOUTHPIECE was rushed off his feet to engage the pacemaker and had nothing left for the closing test. DIE CAST was outrun Overweight Bethankful, 3 pounds. SEVENTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. GRAND VIEW, hard ridden to get to the front, saved ground when clear and held on tenaciously when the final test came. LIGHT BLUE raced wide at the first turn, moved up stoutly when straightened away, but was made too much use of and tired approaching the finish. HARDY BAN closed with a belated rush after being slow to get going. POLYP, could not threaten. DARKSINI raced in dull fashion. NOURRICE was used up early. ANACREON quit, as did MAEMERE.
