SHERMAN GOO DP ASTER RESIGNS LATONIA, Ky., June 11. Sherman Good-paster of Versailles, Ky., who has served in an official capacity at Latonia and Churchill Downs since the formation of the Kentucky Jockey Club in 1918, has resigned, it was announced here today. He wiU make his last appearance in the placing judges pagoda on Saturday. For many years an official of the Latonia Jockey Club, Goodpaster also served as placing judge, and for a time as steward. He gave pressure of other business as the reason for his resignation. Russell Sweeney, resident manager at Latonia, will replace Goodpaster, as placing judge, it was announced by the management.
