The latter was slow to get going, improved his position gradually while iacing wide and was gaining on the winner at the finish. SALUDEAN was well up all the way. STAR BESS made up some ground. HAMILTON had some speed and went fairly well to the finish. ALBANE was outrun early and, although closing some ground, was never dangerous. ATTRACTION and TIDE TIME tired.
