" LAT0NIA TURF NOTES and . . George Clark, owner of the Rosedale Stable, and a wealthy railroad magnate of Toronto, is a visitor at Latonia. He has a large stable of thoroughbreds in training under the supervision of G. C. White. Omer Chapman was an arrival from Dayton, Ohio, with the three horses he is training for J. T. Clayton. The thoroughbreds are Pompous Peter, Sequoia and Boiling Over. W. R. Hoffman brought up J. Hal Woodfords Might Talk from Paris, Ky., where the horse has been turned out for some time. Hoffman will put the racer in training at Latonia. C. Childress was granted a license to train by the Latonia Jockey Club board of stew- -ards. Jockey A. Morgans five-day suspension has expired and the lad resumed riding Thursday afternoon at the Latonia course. Plans are being formulated for the shipment of the five-year-old gelding Chinatown to E. G. Drakes farm. The racer came out of the sixth race Wednesday in a lame condition. W. W. Taylor, trainer of J. T, Taylors Planetoid, departed for Detroit, where he will prepare the gray filly for her engagement in the Detroit Juvenile Stakes scheduled for a week from Saturday.
