HAWTHORNE TURF NOTES Bob McCluggage, Frank Cahill and Adolph Mayer headed a big delegation of Peoria race fans who journeyed to Hawthorne for the afternoons sport. Jockey H. Albrecht has affiliated with the stable of Mrs. E. Denemark and will do the bulk of the riding for that establishment in the future. The condition of Frank Mauro, who was injured in a fall from Ducaster Wednesday, remained critical. Mauro suffered a basal skull fracture, according to X-ray examinations made at Garfield Park Hospital, where he was rushed following the accident. Borar Stables Billy Bee, a scheduled starter in the ,000 added Hawthorne Sprint Handicap Saturday, arrived here from Detroit. J. Paul Ebelhardt was granted a trainers license. C. E. Davison is shipping Rapid Bells, Little Coquina and Barrido to V. Carmichael at Akron.
