i CONEY ISLAND RECEIVER j TOLD TO REQUEST DATES j CINCINNATI, Ohio, June 11. Judge Stanley Strublc today directed Walter D. Murphy, received for the Coney Island track, to make application for dates to conduct a forty-four day meeting at the Ohio River track. The dates to be applied for are from August 28 to October 17. The court authorized and ordered Murphy to ask the Ohio racing commission for the dates to hold a meeting. "The court believes that it is in the best interests of the receiver of the Cincinnati Jockey Club and the creditors that such a permit be obtained," Judge Struble said. In the event of the sale of the track the permit could be transferred to the purchaser, subject to orders of the court and regulations of- the racing commission. Mr. Murphy stated that he had already made application for the dates and expects to have them approved. Murphy added that he did not intend to conduct a race meeting, but reserved the dates as a precautionary measure to protect any purchaser when the track is offered for sale. CINCINNATI, Ohio, June 11. The Ohio State Racing Commission met here today and reserved dates for a possible meeting at Coney Island race track this summer. The commission set aside forty-four days from August 27 to October 17, but whether those dates will be granted and permission given for a meeting will depend upon further developments in efforts to dispose of the plant, now in receivership. Walter Murphy, Cincinnati attorney and receiver for the track, requested the dates. The commissioners who met today were James A. Shevlin, George Blecker and Ran-dle Anderson, and the commissions secretary, Thomas Ryan. All four attended the Latonia races this afternoon.
