I AGAWAM TURF NOTES I $ $ Jockey H. Chinn was suspended by the stewards for the balance of the meeting for rough riding during the running of the seventh race on Friday. Jockey W. G. Jackson departed for Suffolk Downs to ride at that point but will return to Agawam Park on Monday. Jockey C. Rosengarten was fined 0 for use of obscene language in the jockeys quarters. Racing secretary Edward Brennan received a request for stall reservations from the Wheatley Stable, who are skipping Sea-biscuit here to fulfill his handicap engagements. Edward Haughton shipped Advising Anna and Black Highbrow from Suffolk Downs to join the large string that he already is racing at this point. Apprentice W. G. Jackson, who made a quick trip to Suffolk Downs Saturday to successfully pilot Ukraine, returned here on Monday and was booked to ride seven mounts. Wishing Star, after his second refusal during the meeting to break with his field, has been placed on the barred list for the remainder of the meeting. A small fire was discovered in the club house by the night watchman early Sunday morning. The blaze was quickly brought under control, preventing serious damage. Jockey Sidney Trenchard again joined the jockey colony at Agawam Park. Jockey F. Maschek, who was thrown from his mount, Quick Relief, Saturday, when the horse stumbled, is at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield with a fractured jaw bone. He will be laid up for two weeks.
