WlGROSE, in close quarters early, was forced wide at the, stretch turn, was sent through the field when straightened and closed with a rush. FELAWAKE, forced to lose ground when racing forwardly, was rushed to the front in the stretch and tired. GYPSIE CHIEF, used up in the pace, tired in the last stages. DOROTHY HICKS improved her position fast after three-eighths, was sent to the inside for the drive and was blocked nearing the final eighth. RAIN OR SHINE quit. DON VERN was outrun. REELAWAY worked his way forward on the inside and held on veil. ULRICA, saved when outrun, moved to the front on the inside nearing the final quarter, was shuffled tack when tiring in the stretch and tired thereafter. TOMFOOLERY, outrun for three-quarters and forced to lose ground when racing forwardly, made up ground in the drive. MAZOL showed little. MAGIC LINE took command at once, but quit badly after relinquishing the lead. BRINY DEEP had no mishaps. TED CONARD showed a dull effort. JOHN BANE, never far b?ck and unable to improve his early position, was sent to the inside for the drive, but tired. BEVERLY good effort. FAIR TIME made up ground.
