ARLINGTON PARK NOTES and ; Q Apprentice Irving: Anderson, who came on from the East to fill a stakes engagement for his contract employer, Calumet Farm, returns to New York in time to ride at Aqueduct tomorrow. Due to illness the filly Saranara was left at Hawthorne, while all others Roscoe Goose is training were vanned here from the Cicero track Sunday. Saranara has been running a temperature for several days, Goose reported. Included among the score B. Creech has on the grounds are Miss Dolphin, Sound Advice, Reaping, Crout au Pot, Bright Land, Gilbert Elston, Noahs Pride, Gannonnic, Storm Angel, Sourdine and Brown Witch. Jockeys Parke and Parvin are with the stable. The division of Joseph Cattarinichs stable here in charge of Frank Seremba consists of Nellie Mc, Jules Lazard, Girls Chance, Legion Girl and Jeanne Son. Larry Boyle, custodian of the jockeys quarters, reported that forty-four riders, had registered. Oscar Bachman, supervisor of pari-mutuels for the Illinois Racing Commission, is well familiar with the Arlington wagering department, haying been one of mutuels manager Mort Shaws principal assistants before accepting the state position. 1 John McFarland, in charge of Arlington Park policing, had his gatemen and officers resplendent in blue-and-white uniforms. Jockeys Charles Stevenson and George South arrived Sunday, reporting to Dixiana and H. H. Battle, respectively. They came from Latonia. Jockey Willie Garner, a recent arrival from Latonia, is free-lancing, but may accept one of several offers for first call on his services. Included among the horses William Causey will campaign here for the Mayfield Stable are Odd Blue, Bal Ele, Full Tilt, The Point, I Pass and Spicate. Spartan Lady, another in the stable, does her racing under the Causey colors. The sixteen head Ross Higdon is training were transferred from Hawthorne Sunday. He reported that Flight of Gold received cuts about the hind legs in his last race. William Whitley, agent for the T. C. Wor-den stable, has resumed his duties, which include the making of Leon Haas engagements. Whitley underwent an operation for the removal of his appendix three weeks ago. Jockey Earl Steffen, who rode Whopper to victory in the Pontchartrain Handicap at Detroit Saturday, has reported to the H. P. Headley stable here. Willie Saunders, who connected with this establishment, is nursing a chipped collar bone. Among the horses H. S. Battle brought here from Latonia are Kingsbury, Col. Julian, Wilda, Plain Jim, Sis Agnes, Miss Melody, Geo. Gable and Our Bud. George Ray Bryson has all of the E. K. Bryson performers on the grounds, the unit that remained at Hawthorne until the close of the meeting having moved over Sunday. Following a one-day layoff, apprentice Jack Nolan resumed riding Monday, but Harry Albrechts infected foot is giving him so much trouble that he may not return to the saddle for several days. Nolan bruised a foot when leaving the post in the final race at Hawthorne last Friday.
