LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS Frank Chojnacki, Cicero rider, holds a fairly safe lead in the race for American riding honors. He will lead, apparently, for the next two weeks at least, as his present margin, after his eleven winners of last week, is eleven over J. Nolan. Chojnacki has ridden 124 winners since the first of the year and last week was one of the best weeks he has enjoyed. Nolan only added three winners to his total and therefore lost ground. Ira Hanford, with a percentage of .22, is creeping up steadily in the standing and is third with 108 winners, five less than Nolan. Eddie Arcaro gave Chojnacki a race for last weeks honors when he scored with ten of his mounts.
