1 HAMILTON, ONT., NOTES $ . and R. R. Simpson, vice-president of the Hamilton Jockey Club, announced that a free gate would obtain each day except Saturday for the balance of the meeting. The gates will be thrown open at 5 p. m. Joseph E. Martin, secretary of the Niagara Racing Association, was authority for the statement that the price of admission at Fort Erie will be reduced for the fourteen day meeting opening on July 4. The gate admission, formerly .00 plus tax in previous years, will be seventy-five cents plus tax for the coming session. Fred S. Livingston, secretary-treasurer of the Thorncliffe Racing and Breeding Association, was among the club house visitors Monday. Jockey D. Brammer returned from a vacation at his home in Iowa and immediately swung into action astride H. C. Hatchs Carisbrooke in the first race. Mrs. H. R. Russells Master Bobbie, which never fully recovered from injuries received at Ottawa last year, was humanely destroyed Saturday morning. He broke down badly at Dufferin Park Thursday.
