KEYED UP dropped back after the first sixteenth and closed strongly in the last eighth. PILOTBREAD broke slowly, was gaining ground at all times on the outside and Finished gamely. MOLL, going well in the early running, quit in the last eighth. CLASP, breaking better today, was losing ground throughout. WESTYS DUCHESS, under pressure at all times, swerved in behind horses soon after the start and was never a threat thereafter. JUDITH B. dwelt at the start. FEUETTE, breaking slowly, worked its way up between the field going to the outside on the turn and, finishing fast all through the last eighth, got up in the last few yards. MAGIC GIFT, slightly crowded the first eighth, closed up gamely on the turn to take a slight lead in the stretch, but could not hold the winner at the end. PEGGY MINE displayed good speed from the start, only to quit in the last quarter mile. CONTOUR CIRCLE was gaining ground all the way. BETTY CELESTE showed a good effort. HYPH lacked its usual early speed. BATHSHEBA was a contender to the stretch, then quit thereafter. STILL DARK, awav slowly, made up considerable ground. The others were never contenders. BEAU BON sprinted into the lead going to the first turn, was rated along in front, but had to be hard ridden all through the last eighth. OUR SHIP, going well placed, made a game challenge under punishment in the last eighth. CAMP PAROLE, a contender under restraint, saved ground on the inside at the stretch turn and got on almost even terms with leaders, only to falter at the end. GOLDFIN raced evenly and was never a serious threat. ROLLICK made up some ground in the final quarter. PATIENT SAINT appeared sore goin to the post and began quitting after seven-eighths. SPERO, breaking with the leaders, raced into the lead at once, opened up a good lead, was then taken in hand to the stretch and was going away all through the last eighth when given her head. DEEP RUN, never far back, moved up on the turn and was best of the others. BELOW COST raced well and closed gamely when clear. HALLOO, under pressure throughout, faltered at the end. BRAMBLE RUN, verv fractious at the start, was away slowly and, closing a big gap on the outside, was going smartly at the finish. BUNTINO, shuffled back, made up ground in the last quarter. ACCENT was all through after the first quarter and so was AUREATE. The others never figured. SOPHISTICATED made a game challenge at the stretch turn in close quarters, only to stop at the end. MATHIAS was never dangerous, although finishing stoutly. PLAY BOOK quit badly in the last five-sixteenths. TRUE CHARM, hard urged throughout, could never threaten.
