LONG BRANCH TURF NOTES I s and At the conclusion of racing at Dufferin Park, C. L. Jacques plans to ship his small stable to his home in Calgary, Alberta and after a rest at that point Jacques will campaign in California. Racing secretary Pat C. Galliger carded a sub-race for closing day Wednesday. This race will hot be used unless It becomes necessary to discard any of the original races. Word was received that jockey A. Prain was en route from Montreal and will be available for saddle duty at Long Branch on Wednesday. The stable of H. R. Bain, which is under charge of trainer Jack Hutton will be transferred to Dufferin Park at the conclusion of the meeting at Long Branch. The stewards granted permission to jockey Frank Mann to ride the horses of A. J. Halliwell on Wednesday. Mann had previously been requested not to accept mounts during the remainder of the meeting by the stewards. X-ray examination on jockey T. Aimers, who was unseated from Hermanita after the start of the third race Monday, revealed that no bones were broken but the lad suffered severe bruises. Jockey Norman Le Blanc accepted his first mount of the meeting astride Fern Memoriam in the first race Tuesday. At the conclusion of the Long Branch meeting, Le Blanc will depart for Empire City, where he will affiliate with the stable of C. Smythe. J. Heffering disposed of Our Hobby to F. Schelke and Gingery to G. P. Ellis. Terms of the transactions were private. Arthur Brent, trainer of the Erindale Stable, reports that he will ship eight of his charges to Dufferin Park Thursday. The consignment will be headed by the good Canadian-bred filly Spring Moon. Jockey Herb Lindberg will depart for his home in Philadelphia Thursday morning.
