GLASSY BLONDE was not hurried during the first quarter mile, began moving up on the outside leaving the back stretch and, closing with a rush, was up in the last seventy yards. EYELASHES had speed from the start, withstood determined opposition from WIGAN and, though holding on gamely, was unable to cope with the rlosing bid of the winner. WIGAN moved up on the inside and was steadied along until reaching the stretch, made a game effort to move up, but was unable to close ground when placed under punishment. BLACK TIMBER was well placed throughout, but was unable to reach the leaders under punishment. EAST-HAMPTON droprjcd back immediately after the start and raced far back throughout. SCOTCH GOLD gained a prominent position in the run through the back stretch, was steadied along back of the leaders while on the outside, responded to urging in the stretch and was along in the closing strides to wear down fhe leaders. AIR LINE had speed from the start, withstood repeated bids from BLAKEEN, but was not good enough for the winner. STILL ALARM was outpaced early, closed with a belated rush and would in all likelihood have been second in another stride. BLAKEEN, prominent throughout, made a determined bid to get to the front after straightening out in the stretch and faltered in the last few strides. GRANDMAS BOY, under slight restraint for the first three-eighths, moved up steadily thereafter and, coming throujh on the inside at the stretch turn, wore down TRANSIT LADY to draw clear in the last eighth. TRANSIT LADY gained a slight lead in the first quarter mile, drew clear before reaching the stretch and, though holding on well, was unable to cope with the closing challenge of the winner. LADY PAL, well placed all the way, continued gamely to the end. MIDNIGHT FLYER, well placed early, continued gamely to the end, but was unable to make up any ground. AUTUMN NYMPH finished fast in the stretch run. PROSECUTOR tired after going a half mile. STAINFORTH moved up fast on the outside in the opening quarter mile, but quit badly thereafter. HARDWARE was restrained for the first half mile, moved up stoutly when called upon and, though closing with good energy, was unable to reach the winner. CAPITOL HILL, reserved for the first three-quarters, finished in determined fashion through the stretch, getting up in the closing strides to wear down AUNT FLOR for the show. AUNT FLOR had speed from the start and only tired in the last three sixteenths. TIME TO GO was unable to improve his position when called upon. JOY FLAG, reserved early, was unable to reach the leaders. WATCH HIM loomed up threateningly on the outside after rounding the far turn, only to tire in the closing quarter mile. The latter displayed speed from the start, made a game bid to go along with the winner, though was not good enough. DANCING CLOUD went into contention .with. a rush when reaching, the back stretch and while unable to keep pace with the first two continued with good energy to the end. BUSBY closed a big gap. PACKAGE closed with a belated rush on the inside when fortunate to gain clear sailing through the stretch. MURIELLYNN was never able to enter into serious contention. PADDYS SISTER dosed a good gap. SUN TEATIME faltered after going three-quarters. FHRlXUS showed the most early speed, moved into a good lead, but quit in the last five-sixteenths. GLITTER GLOW tired.
