I SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES and v Mrs. Sam Gorbets Out Put, which broke down badly during the running of the seventh race Monday, will be on the shelf for the rest of the meeting. Racing secretary Robert S. Shelley Tuesday called the attention of horsemen to closing time for entries for the Great Lakes and Galcsburg Handicaps, to be run here Saturday. Entries must be made by Thursday with weights and declarations to be made the following day. The Great Lakes Handicap is for three-year-olds and over and will be decided over seven furlongs for a purse of ,200, while the Galesburg Handicap is for two-year-olds and will be run over six and a half furlongs. The latter feature carries an 00 purse. Jockey L. Haas, who was thrown heavily when Ragacreek fell with him during the running of the eighth race here Monday, suffered no serious injuries and was back in the saddle Tuesday. Tabora, Aliens, Hoosier Friend and Joseph D. are the horses which Claude Shep-ard is racing here. Myfilly, a five-year-old, is the only horse Grant E. Moore has at this time. John Tobin has a stable of five useful performers in his charge. They are Brown Idyll, Irene Geary, Nurses Boy, Cerveza and Chicanery. Apprentice Henry Hauer struck his head on the starting gate while astride Moll at the post in the fourth race Tuesday and canceled his engagement on Navanod in the following event. He returned to the saddle, however, to fill his engagements In the seventh and eighth events. T. P. Martin was substituted for him aboard Navanod.
