Start bad and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. KINDRED SPIRIT improved his position steadily in the early running, came to the outside in the stretch run and responding to urging, finished with a rush and wore down MATADOS in the last strides. The latter was kept dose to the early pace from the start, moved into command in the final eighth, but hung in the final drive. LOTOFUS was rushed into command after the break, showed early speed while saving ground, but quit at the finish. CROOKED LANE raced evenly all the way. JUSTA PLAY saved ground throughout and had no mishaps. TERPSICHORE had no excuses in the running. BALLY BAY was steered to the inside for the stretch turn and was then bothered. WTAM, raced forwardly from the start, responded to severe pressure in the stretch run, finished fast and wore down ORIENT EXPRESS in the last strides. The latter was rushed into command after the break, saved ground rounding the stretch turn and held on well. SCROOGE was close to the pace from the start, moved up courageously in the stretch and finished well, to outgame BARON GRAY. The latter was well up from the start, came to the outside of the leaders entering the stretch and had no mishaps. CRAFTY FOX raced greenly. STALAGMITE saved ground.
