GREENTREE SALE OFFERINGS Mrs. Payne Whitney Consigns Ten Mares to Lexington Auction Three Bred to Questionnaire. LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 13. Mrs. Payne Whitneys Greentree Farm will offer ten brood mares, three of which are reported in foal to Questionnaire, namely, Java, Spring Cleaning and Tip Top. Java 1924 is a bay "daughter of Broomstick Cafe au "Lait and dam of the winner Providence Lass. Cafe au Lait is dam of Untidy, winner of a Kentucky Oaks and dam of First Minstrel. Spring Cleaning 1928, another bay daughter of Broomstick, is from Ravage, by imported Wrack; while Tip Top 1924 is by Dominant Aloft, by Peter Pan, and besides being a stake winner, is dam of the winners First Rate, Busby and Maddening. The remaining seven in the Greentree group are. as follows: All Gallac 1925, by Dominant Maracarbo; imported Crispena 1920, by Charles OMalley Va Via; Dippy 1928, by Mad Hatter Nedna; False Modesty 1925, by Whisk Broom II. Prudish; Lodina 1924, by Wildair Adele; Nedna 1919, by Whisk Broom II. Leayonara, and Penumbra 1924, by imported Negofol imported Denise Field.
