MAJOR CHRISTENSEN RETIRING FROM BREEDING SAN BRUNO, Calif., Oct 13. Maj. Sven Christensen, one of Californias most prominent owners and breeders, is retiring from the breeding business; and his twenty-four brood mares, three sires and a number of two-year-olds, yearlings "and weanlings will be offered for sale at public auction the latter part of this month. The sires that will be put up for sale are Langdon Hillst Mortgage and The Okah. The latter is a royally bred -animal, the first of whose get will be ready for the races next season. Langdon Hills and Mortgage have sired many California-bred winners during the past few years. Major Christensen, upon the disposal of his stock, will not relinquish his interest in the racing business. He intends to campaign a small string on California tracks.
