T LONG BRANCH TURF N0TESj . Racing secretary John B. Campbell sent stake blanks for the coming meeting of the Southern Maryland Agricultural Association at Bowie commencing November 12 and running for fifteen days. There are six major stakes offered and the minimum purse in all races is ,000. Jockey Frank Mann was advised by the stewards not to accept any mounts for the rest of the meeting. He was astride Sugar Jar. the winner of the first race Saturday. F. Ross bought Cathop from D Garrity for a private consideration. W. G. Campbell will take over the training of the horse. Jockey D. Dubois departed for Rockingham Park, where he plans to ride as a free lance. J. OShea purchased Broadcaster from G. Garrity. Garrity will continue to. train the horse. P. F. Foreman arrived from Montreal with the platers Sun Fash and Barbette. N. Rizzo disposed of Bud Royal and Osirian to Mrs. W. J. Skene. R. Patterson will take over the training of the pair. Mrs. Frank .Gilpin sold the filly Husky .Lass to Frank Selke.- She will be used for breeding purposes. Terms of the sale were private.
