STEWARDS INVESTIGATING SHOWING OF WHERE AWAY LAUREL, Md., Oct. 13. Following the poor performance turned in by Anthony Pelleteris Where Away in the Westminster Handicap at Laurel Saturday, in which the horse was last in a five-horse field, the stewards of the Maryland Fair, Inc., ordered an investigatiton to find the reason for the poor showing of the animal. They have ordered a physical examination to be made and the horse will not be permitted to start again until the investigation is completed. It was learned that Where Away was said to be suffering from kidney trouble before Mr. Pelleteri claimed him from the Millay Way Stable but it was thought that .the aliment had been cured by treatment.
