TRAINER E. E. RUSSELL AND HORSES SUSPENDED HOUSTON, Texas, Oct. 13. For the alleged making and consenting to publication of statements detrimental to the best interests of racing the Epsom Downs stewards and the steward representing the Texas State Racing Commission, ordered the suspension of E. E. Russell and all of the horses trained by him for Mrs. E. E. Russell for the remainder of the Epsom Downs meeting and a recommendation for sixty days additional suspension has been forwarded to the members of the Texas Racing Commission, it was announced Tuesday. The following action was taken by the Texas Breeders and Racing Association officials and state representative Col. J. E. Winfree after having the case under advisement for several days: "E. E. Russell and all of the horses trained by him as of this date October 13, 1936 are suspended for the rest of the meeting, which expires October 24, 1936, and recommend to the Texas Racing Commission an additional sixty 60 racing days suspension for the alleged making and consenting to publication of statements detrimental to the best Interests of racing."
