I WASHINGTON PARK NOTES : Word having been received here from Detroit that Mrs. Jake Heupel, wife of the former jockey, is critically ill and at. the point of death, a purse is being made up here at Washington Park. Contributions are being received by Larry Boyle, who has charge of the jockey quarters here. Clyde Van Dusen was due from Detroit with two carloads of horses for Arlington Park racing. Mrs. Emil Denemarks Radio Charm and Cor into, which filled stake engagements at-Detroit during the past week, returned here Thursday. Five others still at the Motor City will- leave there for Arlington Park Saturday night, according to Emil Denemark. Frank Gilpin, stable trainer, also returns here Sunday. Leo J. Marks Le Mar Stock Farm will be represented at Arlington Park by sixteen horses trained by M. Shapoff. The horses will move over to the north side course from here Sunday. Bennet Creech arrived Thursday from the East and at the same time came his stable of sixteen head. They were shipped directly to Arlington Park. Accompanying Creech was apprentice J. Richard, and both of them were visitors at Washington Park Friday afternoon. Entries for the first days racing at Arlington Park will be accepted at Arlington Park, Washington Park and also at Lincoln Fields. They will be assembled and printed, however, at Washington Park.
