FRITZ HALLAM, hard hustled from the start, set the pace for a half mile and began tiring thereafter. MATURE began slowly, worked his way through the field and made up some ground. IMA GREENOCK, never far back, continued in game fashion, but was no match for the winner. MACAWLEE was much used up setting the pace and tired when put to pressure. RE-SWEEP acted rank at the post, was away well and forced the pace most of the trip, but faltered in the drive. LAC-HA-CAROLYN closed a big gap. KITTYS RIVAL tired.
