DIVIDED SKIRT, kept in the thick of contention after getting away forwardly, rallied smartly in the last quarter mile and, finishing resolutely on the outside nearing the close, was up in the final strides. NO DUST, raced stoutly all the way and held on tenaciously in the final test. GAY JACK, outrun early, worked, his way forwardly on the inside and was going gamely at the close. GREY CHIEFTAIN displayed good speed while setting the pace, was steadied nicely but failed to stay when the final issue came. . KALEIDA raced in dull fashion and was never a factor. LADY VA VA, away well but lacking speed, saved a lot of ground at the stretch turn to reach contention, then fought it out willingly to the close. SPITTENIMAGE, close to the leaders from the start, took a slight lead when straightened into the stretch but could r.ot stave off the first two at the close. LILLIAN Z. raced evenly. DILWIN was used up chasing SCARA GLEN and tired. FLYING MERCURY began slowly and raced in dull fashion. WEDDING RING and SCARA GLEN had no excuses. Overweight Dilwin, 3 pounds. SHES MINE gained steadily on the outside and finished courageously. TRAITRESS lacked early speed and could not threaten when vigorously urged. EYELASHES tired after a half "mile. The latter, close up early, finished with good energy in the final drive. SWIFT QUEEN raced HYPH into submission but tired steadily in the last quarter mile. CHILLY EBBIE was unable to threaten. JUSTA GIRO gained a clear lead midway of the turn, but tired durieg the final drive. ELDEE, on the. inside from the start and racing prominently, was caught in close quarters during the final eighth. MISS PREMIER joined the pacemaker at tha turn out of tha back stretch and held on tenaciously to the finish. MISS GINBAR was unable to enter contention with the leaders. EUDES raced in his best form, overhauled PENWAY at the final curve, saved ground but could not withstand the winner. DRASTIC DELIGHT, a slow beginner, fell far out of contention, circled his field when in stride and closed with good courage. PENWAY tired in the last half mile. HELEN BAB raced in spots. The latter went forwardly from the start, slipped up on the inside of the winner at the eighth post, but hung inside the final eighth. FAIR BILLY hurried into a contending position, made a strong bid entering the stretch and held on well. NANCY MAE, badly messed about early and poorly ridden, closed a big gap and may have been closer with better handling. IVY MAXWELL gained slowly in the late stages. THREE GRAND had no excuses.
