Won driving; second and third the same. BEHIND ME had speed from the start, was hustled into the lead at once, raced NAHALLAC into defeat, closed ramcly and outfinished BONNIE CAIN. The latter worked its wav up steadily on the outside closed gamely and threatened the winner. SMOKE RING retrieved ground. INVESTOR raced forward on the outs!do in the first quarter but was unable to threaten the leaders. IMELDA met interference at the turn, dropped br.c:. then came again in the stretch run. BELLE FULLER worked her way forward on the outside, came with a rush through the final eighth wore down the leaders and was up in the final stride. RECITAL forced the pace from the start took command in the final twenty yards and just failed to last. ROUGH WATERS sprinted into a good early d bad,y in the last EixtcentI- -MAIS PALATINE made up ground. BUTTERFLY tired 1MAGALE, very unruly at the gate, broke well behind the stalls on the outside, then made up ground in a good effort. CANDY MAN quit. TIME LIMIT, away slowly, was hustled to the leader in the first quarter mile, dropped back, then came again in the final quarter mile. BUNETTA made up ground. JEAN PITTSTON quit badly. BLUE FUME set the early pace, saved ground entering the stretch, then bore out in the drive. ROYAL WIDOW raced well and outfinished DODGE ME. The latter moved up threateningly in the stretch, then tired. STEP ROSEY could never threaten under pressure. OAKWOODS LADY had brief early speed. CHICOT was away slowly. LAW MAKER, slow to settle into his best stride, closed with a rush through the final three-eighths. WARRIOR SLAVE made up ground. REVERBERATE tired badly after seven-eighths. FRED TRACEY worked his way forwardly the first half mile, then served badly when placed to punishment in the stretch drive. DOWLING, well placed throughout, had no excuses. NO-TROUBLE raced evenly.
