SHEPHERD BOY, well up from the start, secured the lead when a sixteenth out, but was doing his best at the end to stall of ELIHU. The latter closed fast on the outside through the final eighth and was wearing the winner down. TAPPANAUGH held on fairly well and outgamed HASTY SUE. The latter displayed the most early speed, but tired in the final test. BE JUST closed ground. THEODORE A. tired. The others were outrun. ALL FORGIVEN closed with a brilliant rush on the outside through the stretch and, under keen urging, got up in the last few yards. MINT FLAVOR also closed fast during the run home and finished strongly. IN STEP saved ground entering the stretch and held on with good courage in the final test. DON GOMEZ had no excuses and tired near the end. HENRIERVA displayed early speed, but tired after reaching the stretch, as did REGALITY. BETTY REJOICE quit. The others were outrun. MARSAIL was a keen factor throughout, but was doing his best at the end to stall off TRACE BOY. The latter closed strongly on the outside of the opposition through the stretch EDITH WALKER raced well to the stretch, then tired. LITTLE BUBBLES raced evenly. OLIN J. was forced to race on the outside all the last half and could never get up. VISIGOTH, favored by the pace and raced wide throughout, began to move up after a half mile, closed boldly when straightened in the stretch and always held AL AU FEU safe. The latter, also benefited by the pace and raced wide, responded well to move with the winner on the stretch turn, then continued in resolute fashion through the stretch, but could not get to VISIGOTH. NOEL H. had fine speed from the start, was on the inside after about three-eighths, was placed to strong urging after reaching the stretch and held on well to the last sixteenth, where lie tired. DON MOSS was under strong urging from the start, did not keep up when leaving the back stretch and gave way slowly in the stretch. TIGER TEDDY tired" after showing speed to the last three-sixteenths. NEMONT, much the best and away fast, took command under stout restraint, easily drew out after reaching the last five-sixteenths and was eased in the last sixteenth, winning with much in reserve. DOUBLE R. moved up steadily while saving ground the first three-quarters, raced gamely under strong urging thereafter and disposed of SUN MICA gradually in the last three-sixteenths. The latter taken in hand when unable to outrun NEMONT and saving much ground, was under strong pressure the last three-eighths and held on with good courage to the last sixteenth. KING CARL raced wide throughout and tired in the stretch. CROUT AU POT was outrun. KIEVS PENNANT showed poor form. Corrected weight — Nemont, 119; Crout au Pot, 114.
