t LINCOLN FIELDS TURF NOTES | Frank Abbate of Chicago is beginning the Lincoln Fields season with only two horses Veeks and Prince Torch. He brought them from Churchill Downs several days ago. V. E. Berry, whose horses came here directly from Hot Springs, is preparing four head for racing on the Chicago circuit. They are Mary Vito, Gold Mesh, Bereit and Bit o Black. The racing secretarys office will be opened Monday by secretary William H. Shelley. He hopes, with his crew, to have I much of the work of registering stables over I by the time the meeting opens Thursday, I and solicits the co-operation of owners and trainers in this connection. J. S. Copenhaver is due here momentarily with twelve head he is bringing from California. R. White is at Washington Park with eight horses he will race at Lincoln Fields for R. Morgan. The thoroughbreds, which wintered on a farm near here, are Good boldier, Agotaras, La Monte, Deeba, Gram Depice, Deece and Rock Sally.
