1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES . s L. V. Bellew, Jr., acting for Mrs. T. Christo-fer, of Miami, Fla., purchased the filly Bobbin from Joseph E. Widener at private terms Friday morning. D. E. Stewart acted for Widener. C. R. Valentine, Friday, privately sold the juvenile filly Hazel Lee to Robert McGarvey and she was to be shipped to Lincoln Fields j Friday night. The youngster is a daughter of Burgoo King and Erla Lee II. Additions to the stable trained by Burley Pax-ke for the Lincoln Fields meeting will include several more of the Millsdale Stable racers. The latter are at Lexington and will be transferred here for shipment to Chicago. Parke also is training three for Mrs. Roy ~ Carruthers, and two for Mrs. J. Hertz. L. C. Bogenschutz leaves Saturday night for his home in Covington and will leave Cincinnati for Chicago Sunday night. He goes to Chicago for the Lincoln Fields meeting. A total of 224 stable registrations were filed at Churchill Downs during the current meeting* Approximately 1,500 horses were trained by the 224 trainers. C. Bruce Head, F. C. Price, W. H. Shelley, James T. Clark, William Hamilton and other racing officials going to Lincoln Fields will leave for Chicago over the week-end. The office of racing secretary Shelley will open at Lincoln Fields Monday morning. W. G. Sparks, Lexington turfman, has altered his plans and will transfer the six horses he has here to Lincoln Fields early next week. The undefeated three-year-old filly Anns Princess, heads the contingent destined for the Windy City. "Peaches" Morton, blind vendor of the overnight entries, departs Saturday night for his home in Chicago and will be at his post throughout the summer at the Chicago tracks. S. J. Molay, New Orleans turfman who has enjoyed a good measure of success during the Churchill Downs meeting, has made arrangements for the shipment of the horses he is handling to Lincoln Fields on Sunday. Fisk Waring goes to Delaware Park Sunday with the seven thoroughbreds that he is training for Gould Shaw and S. A. Silberberg. Apprentices D. West and A. Page will go with the stable to the Wilmington track.
