Knoderer plans to introduce* a new rider to the racing fans here in eighteen-year-old Fred Adams, who hails from New Albany, Ind. J. R. Burnett brought in Cup Defender, Flightaway and Good Heritage from Doug- las Park by van. A division of the large stable owned by I. J. Collins, Lancaster, Ohio, sportsman will ; be selected for racing at North Randall by head trainer Al Miller. Jockey Ted Atkinson, who has been on the grounds for the past few weeks, will do the bulk of the riding for the western divi- ■ sion of Warren Wrights Calumet Farm ; stable. C. N. Lewis, former owner and trainer ■ and at present agent for Calumet Farm, , motored from Louisville and will remain for the meeting. The stables of Frank Gering and Stanley Gano, which have been prepared at La- tonia, checked in. The former has six and the latter five head. J. D. Lenahan, trainer of the division of the large J. C. Ellis stable, which was cam-5 paigned successfully at Beulah Park, brought in fifteen racers from the Grove City track. Jimmy Ferris, who will serve as custodian of the jockey quarters, is an arrival and is readying the room for use. Several more nominations were received in the mails for the Inaugural Handicap, opening day feature, racing secretary Reeder announced. Demand for season boxes and club mem berships have exceeded the expectations of the sponsors of the Cleveland Jockey Club, who are jubilant over the outlook of its initial meeting. Seven horses owned by John Allgeier and five belonging to W. E. Martin were additions to the rapidly increasing horse colony. F. J. DeMary will send three of his Border Farm stable racers here in charge of trainer; H. J. Janson and apprentice Murphy Trahan to do the riding.
