GIGGLING GIRL was in closest attendance of the pacemaking THERMAL, took the lead inside the final eighth and outfinish;d FITCHBLENDE. The latter raced forwardly placed, saved ground throughout and closed with good courage. THERMAL set the pace to the final sixteenth and faltered in the final strides. CUP WINNER raced on the outside throughout in a good effort. SISWEEP raced evenly. RISCO was never prominent. ANN HANOVER made up ground the final quarter mile. SPEARMAN tired. ROYAL TREAD, outrun the first quarter mile, was sent to the outside leaving the back stretch, wore down the leaders through the final three-sixteenths and drew out at the end. VOTE BOY raced GOLDEN SILENCE into defeat, took the lead entering the stretch, but had little left when the winner challenged. FAIR, sent up on the inside on the back stretch, was blocked rounding the turn and was unable to better his position thereafter. JACQUELLA raced evenly. TRICKYS SON made up ground. GOLDEN SILENCE quit after displaying early speed. WIMBLEDON tired. Overweight — Wimbledon, 3 pounds. THIRD RACE 3-4 MTLE Out of Chute. HAY KNIFE sprinted into an early lead and tired through the final quarter mile. POMSEE was away slowly and made up ground. RAKBAK, unruly at the start, broke from the outside and raced evenly. KINGS COLORS was sent up last on the outside from the start, raced WISE MAIDEN into defeat and drew clear through the drive, under pressure. SKATING MAD dropped back sharply leaving the chute, steadily worked way forward thereafter and outfinished WISE MAIDEN. The latter sprinted to the lead and set the pace for three-eighths and closed gamely at the end. BARTS MAYOR tired. POMPOYANTE tired. SUNTACK was away slowly. Scratched— 74414 Curwen, 105. The latter worked way forward on the outside after three-quarters and closed gamely, but just failed to get up. UNFAILING sprinted into the lead, set the pace under restraint after shaking off DAGGERS DRAWN and tired through the final eighth. DAGGERS DRAWN forced the running to the final three-sixteenths, then faltered. POONA and RIDGE were never prominent, the former making up some ground.
