t WOODBINE PARK NOTES f $ — e George Hay, general manager of Long Branch and Duf f erin Parks, distributed con dition books at Woodbine Park Wednesday morning. He requests that horsemen file their badge applications for the meetings at once. Sterling Young resumed riding Wednesday after being under the doctors care for the past twenty-four hours. Jockey T. Vercher, who arrived from Kentucky with the K. S. Cleveland stable, accepted his first mount Wednesday astride C. B. Goochs Barts Mayor. Maiden jockey D. Hughes, who was astride Spring Moon on Tuesday, had a rough trip when he lost his stirrup irons after being bumped leaving the starting gate. This was the first mount for the youngster, who is under contract to A. J. Halliwell. A shipment of horses en route from Windsor in charge c* trainer K. S. Cleveland met with an accident and the Hendrie vans had to be called to bring the horses to Thorn-cliffe Park. The horses were shaken up but uninjured.
