WESTIGAL was sent into an easy lead, saved ground, but could not stay when caught. HUPPY was fonvardly placed all during the running and held on gamely to the end. BOSOPI could not improve his position. COUNTER PASS has been raced much and appears to be staling off. GUATEMALA and the others were badly outrun. CHARMING MARY entered contention early, made strong bids and held on well CHAMPFLEURY saved ground and bettered his position steadily. KALEIDA was not good enough. LEW DUNLIN was never a factor. PROPRIETARY raced very wide for the entire trip and raced poorly.
