TWO KINGS PLATE WINNERS Archworth and Bunty Lawless May Meet in the William Hendrie Memorial Handicap. TORONTO, Ont., May 24— A race that should tax the grounds at Woodbine Park to capacity Saturday will be the ,000 added William Hendrie Memorial Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, foaled in Canada, at a distance of one and one-sixteenth miles. This feature race will bring all the outstanding Canadian-bred handicap performers postward. Though the entries do not close until midnight Wednesday, May 24, those already nominated are Archworth, owned by C. G. McCullagh and winner of this years Kings Plate; Bunty Lawless, 1938 Kings Plate winner and considered the outstanding Canadian-bred in training; Mona Bell, owned by the Cosgrave Stable; Donosiris, owned by the Parkwood Stable; Cease Fire, owned by H. R. Bain; Suffern, owned by H. C. Hatch, and Sea General, owned by Harry Giddings. The last named finished second to Ai-chworth last Monday. A meeting between Archworth and Bunty Lawless should be one of the most highly contested races seen in Canadian racing in many years and should be worth going many miles to witness. The William Hendrie Memorial is one of the feature races that will be decided during the Ontario Jockey Club spring session.
