1 LINCOLN FIELDS TURF NOTES * $ s R. A. Kindred is expecting six more horses from California, to augment the fourteen he brought here from Louisville for Louis B. Mayer and Dan B. Midkiff. Here to do ttie riding for the stable is the accomplished reinsman, Carroll Bierman. Reigh Begoe was sold Wednesday by Joe Grossman, acting for his wife, to M. E. Cos-tello. The sale was private. Michael Caffarella, twenty-year-old Schenectady, N. Y., boy is here from California to do the light weight riding for the stable of J. E. Copenhaver. The boy has ridden only one winner, but he is said by Copenhaver to be a lively saddle prospect. W. R. Dahlstrom is accepting Lincoln Fields entries at Washington Park, where a number of horses are stabled. G. B. Kennedy, outrider at most of the tracks in the Chicago sector, put in his appearance. Rush McCoy has turned out Grit and Grace at the J. S. Wiggins farm in Kentucky, and has only King Carl here at Lincoln Fields. • * James McCoy, Warren Cornay and J. H. Burke arrived, and made applications for licenses. W. Reidinger got in from Lexington, with the horse, Detector, an entrant in the Crete handicap. J. J. Greely, Sr., unloaded the fifteen horses he will race here for P. A. and R. J. Nash, and Miss Nan OMalley, of Chicago. Heading the shipment were Syracuse, an intended starter in the Crete Handicap and Burning Blaze. The five horses William Westerfield transferred here from Louisville for Dr. E. R. Plunkett, were Chanderra, Valet, Fetchet, Rhythm and My Honey. Jockey Charles Kurtsinger arrived from Louisville. He is with the stable trained by Roscoe Goose. Dr. J. M. Kaiser, paddock judge at Lincoln Fields, came from Colorado Springs, where he did some work on blood stock. Jack Hanover, acting for the partnership of Friedberg and Axton, for which he trains, sold Morfinn to W. Schultz, privately. Harry Hoffman, trainfer of the Woodvale Farm horses, came from Louisville with fifteen head for that establishment. Another rider to check in from Louisville was Charles Rollins. He is to do some of the heavy riding for the Lewin Stable. Earl Steffen checked in and will do some of the heavy riding for Clyde Van Dusen, who is training a large string for himself and Charles T. Fisher. C. J. FitzGerald, Sr. arrived today from Toronto, and is ready to take his place as Lincoln Fields steward, representing the Illinois Racing Commission. FitzGerald served as honorary steward for the running of the Kings Plate at Woodbine.
