1 BELMONT PARK TURF NOTES t $ 4 Trainer Vincent Powers of the steeplechase division of the Greentree Stable, was suspended temporarily for an infraction of the stable rules. Jockey E. Arcaro notified Al Burlen, clerk of the scales, that he would not ride during the afternoon due to illness. The condition books for the Aqueduct meeting were distributed among horsemen Wednesday. Nelson Strang, after a two days illness,, resumed his duties as assistant to Al Burlen. Jockey L. Haas reported ill and canceled his engagements.
