1 SUFFOLK DOWNS NOTES f The condition book for the second ten days, May 26 to June 6, inclusive, was re leased by racing secretary Charles McLennan. Apprentice Donald Knutson accepted the first mount of his career astride Our Teddy in the closing event Wednesday at Suffolk Downs. Knutson is from Miami, Fla., is 17 years of age, rides at 108 pounds and is under contract to A. A. Crabbe. Jockey Bernie Fels has joined up with the Brookmeade Stable for whom he will ride for the remainder of the New England season. 1 H. G. Bedwell is shipping to. Delaware Park on Sunday. He will ship the entire string back to Suffolk Downs later in the meeting. The Brockton Board of Aldermen granted a permit to Glenn M. McCrillas, president of the Brockton Fair, for horse racing at the Fair Grounds by a vote of 4 to 1, allowing pari-mutuel wagering on the premises. McCrillas, reported to be acting for officials of the former Agawam race track, sought dates from July 24 to August 12 and from October 2 to October 16. The Massachusetts State Racing Commission said no petition has been received for sanction of the proposed dates. Miss Mary Hirsch, before the running of Wednesdays program, transferred the ownership of Gambit to Mrs. P. Iglehart from Mrs. Parker Corning.
