► Decision Due on Whether Coaltown Will Go in Dixie JAMAICA, L. I., N. Y., May 2— At a late hour this afternoon, Calumet Farms Coaltown was still at Jamaica race track in barn 15. A switch in plans caused the delay in the departure of the Bull Lea colt for Pimlico, where he is engaged in the Dixie Handicap, in which he would have to carry 136 pounds. A final decision as to the watch -breaking colts future will be made following a conference between Warren Wright, Ben A. Jones and H. A. "Jimmy" Jones to be held tonight. Though no definite statement was forthcoming today, it is indicated that Coaltown will be sent to Belmont Park tomorrow, where Calumet Farm maintains private barns, and will remain on the sidelines until the Arlington-Washington season in Chicago, where there is an arbitrary top limit of 130 pounds in all handicaps. Warren Wright, however, mad decide to accept the heavier imposts that Coaltown is sure to be assigned here. Coaltown carried 130 to his easy victory in the Gallant Fox last Saturday and showed no ill-effects from the race, but the Joneses have made no secret of their disapproval of heavy weights for their charges.
