STAN TRACY, steadied while working his way up on the outside, came between horses entering the stretch, was taken to the inside to gain command and won going away. FLY PIGEON closed stoutly between horses. FLEETY QUEEN, a forward factor on the outside, moved up menacingly on the far turn, then faltered. ARIEL BRIGADE opened a clear lead at once, drifted out slightly on the last turn and tired quickly. DAVIES SISTER was used up forcing the pace. TWO DEUCE was never a serious factor. GEORGES GIRL broke alertly, was hustled to keep within striking distance of the leader on the far turn, responded to take command inside the final furlong and won drawing out. ROYAL LUCK opened a clear advantage soon after the start, raced well on the turns and held on gamely when displaced. JACOMO finished stoutly along the inside. H. T. PERRY displayed good early speed, then weakened under a drive. WHITES BOY went evenly. JACK HEATHER raced in spots. CONSTABLE had no mishap. MISS KNIGHTESS was never prominent. BILL, drew clear on the final turn and continued to increase the margin under light urging LT BILL showed good speed from the start, held on gamely to the final turn, then drifted out gradually m the stretch BEAMING LIGHT, slow to get going, closed well when sent up on the outside. BUSTER HOPE was unable to make up any appreciable ground. RESPIRE tired out in the final stages. SHINING DEED lacked early speed TEDDY TARN had no mishap. KILAYR flashed brief speed. ZO-BO, steadied along while kept closest to the pacemaker, rallied to drive up on the inside of the leader near the sixteenth post, assumed command and outfinished MUSICAL LADY. The latter opened a comfortable lead .n the first quarter saved ground, shortened stride when challenged and drifted out slightly near the end. BRASSY LIE, steadied along when unable to rac w" the , early leaders, rallied mildly in the late stages. QUELLE BELLE passed tiring horses. MARLTOWN had brief early speed. BEST DOINGS, steadied along while kept closest to the pacemaker, moved to the leader when roused and drew clear without being punished. MESMERIZED showed good speed from the outset, maintained a clear advantage until challenged, but was not good enough. VAR improved position steadily on the extreme outside. SNEAK, closer to the pace than usual — under steadying restraint, was sent to the inside entering the lane, was roused intermittently, but failed to v£ impress. FRIENDLY FRANK went evenly. MESMER, kept within striking distance o of the pacemaker, moved up readily when roused, assumed command, widened into a comfortable lead and was being eased up at the end. FIRST NIGHTER, slow to settle into best stride, was roused early, improved position steadily along the inside and finished with good energy. SASSYS KING opened a clear lead after half a mile, saved ground while making the pace, then held on gamely, although not good enough. SUPPER DATE went evenly. JOE OLSAN swerved slightly at the start, was quickly straightened out, forced the pace for half a mile, then tired. FIRST PEBBLE was outrun. Scratched— 72640 Flying Mile, 111. TE DWES was allowed to settle into best stride when unable to stay with the early leaders, was sent to the extreme outside entering the stretch and wore down the leader with a belated rush. FLARES DURBAR bullied his way up between horses to take the lead after a quarter mile, turned back repeated bids for command, was kept to the inside under stout pressure and just failed to last. ANALYSIS closed stoutly in the late stages from off the pace. GAY r=IN0, forced to be ease back when caught in close quarters early, moved abreast the leader on the far turr., then tired DESPITE loomed as a threat on the extreme outside in the late stages, then faltered.
