Vascoe Parke Selects Olympia But Is Rooting for Johns Joy SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 2. — Vasco Parke, a member of the well-known Parke family of turfmen, today stated that he believes Olympia will win the Kentucky Derby. The Hooper colt is trained by his brother, Ivan. "However, Ill be rooting for brother Monte, with Johns Joy," he added. "Monte has yet to get up there on top like Ivan, and it is only natural that Id be rooting for the kid of the family." Vasco serves as patrol judge at this track. Another brother, Burley, is trainer for the powerful C. S. Howard Stable at Golden Gate Fields on the West Coast. Charley Parke is a farm manager at Hoopers Montgomery, Ala. farm.
