The latter moved up on the rail, was blocked momentarily on the third turn, forged between the leaders and just missed. CITY HALL gave way after making the pace until the closing furlong. AGARITA bore out on the first turn. ATLANTIC CITY also ran out on the frist turn. ATOMIC CITY showed nothing. WOLFESS had brief speed and quit. WAYNE S., well ridden, saved ground while a sharp factor, was blocked and taken up slightly on the second turn, went up on the outside for the closing furlong and outgamed WAR PAGE. The latter gained the lead when SONS TWINKLE and CHANCE TAKER gave way, but could not resist the winner. SONS TWINKLE tired. BATTLE SCARRED had no mishap. LYTTA-JANE was outrun. CHANCE TAKER quit after duelling for the early lead. LITTLE HARE came out of the race slightly lame.
