COPACABANA, shuffled back in the run down the backstretch, rallied from between horses when roused for the drive rounding the stretch turn to wear down SPEEDING HOME in the early stretch and, under a hard drivs, stalled off FLEET COMMAND. The latter was never a great distance back, raced on the outside throughout and made a determined bid in the late stages. BOLD REGARD made up ground fast in the last auarter after a slow beginning. TIGER FLASH had no mishap in an even effort. TINTALATE was outrun. COPITO broke very slowly. CROUPIER quit. COVENANT forced the pace in hand to the stretch turn, wrested command from the outside while under mild urging and held his advantage safe under continued pressure. HATIKVAH, slow to settle into her best stride, made up ground fast in the late stages, but was not good enough. GIN GIRL had speed, saved ground most of the way but faltered steadily in the last quarter. INACCESSIBLE had no mishap. WISE BULL was outrun. CHANCELOT failed to rally. SHINE ON was never far back, saved ground throughout and finished on his own courage. SOCIAL HOUR had speed, saved ground and tired badly under pressure in the drive OURQUEST was in slightly close quarters while racing with the top flight in the run down the backstretch, came to the outside rounding the turn and flattened out in the drive. ORBIT broke sluggishly, was rushed up fast on Mie outside after a quarter and had nothing left when the real racing began. PERCIVALE was always outrun. The latter forced the pace in hand, raced on the outside throughout, was carried out by the winner entering the stretch and, under a sustained drive, held on stubbornly. FERD, shuffled back soon after the break, saved ground while wanting for racing room rounding the turn, came through on the rail in the stretch and outfinished NAVY CHIEF under strong urging. The latter had speed, saved ground to the stretch, where he commenced drifting out and just failed to last. BOODLE, away slowly, rushed up on the outside on the turn to move boldly on the leaders in the early stretch, but weakened under a sustained drive. BLUE VICTORY had no mishap. LITTLE BAD gave way suddenly after pressing the pace to the stretch. EAST INDIES was cut off soon after leaving the backstretch and failed to rally when clear. ARCOURT was always outrun. MIGHTY MASTER, hard held for the first half mile, came to the outside leaving the backstretch to move willingly to the leaders on the stretch turn wore down MR. HAPPY without urging inside the last furlong and drew out with ease. The latter forced the pace in hand to the stretch turn, assumed command while under strong handling in the early stretch but was no match for the winner. ROMAN RUNNER, practically left at the start, was rushed up on the outside after a half mile and closed well in the late stages.
