TEDDIES IMP, a prominent factor from the beginning, came out for the drive and, under punishment, disposed of AIR ARM in the final strides. AIR ARM held a clear lead when settled for the stretch run, but weakened during the late stages and could not withstand the winner. HARRY D. slipped through next to the inside rail on the near turn and finished gamely in a good effort. CH0MBR0 could not improve his position when hard ridden during the final furlong. LUCKY DOG drifted out through the final three furlongs when tiring. DOUBLE GIFT was never formidable. SYLS GALLANT was outrun as was GRACIOUS HEART. STEEL WIT could not keep up. FRONT ROW, never far back, was sent up fast entering the stretch and, after assuming command, drew clear under brisk urging. YOU ARE YOU began sluggishly, was permitted to work way forward steadily to the stretch and, sent between horses, closed stoutly. GARRETT C. lacked early speed, but finished fast. FOXEY ROSE raced prominently until inside the stretch, then weakened. LITTLE AUD was outrun. TINTINA raced prominently to the stretch, then drifted out while tiring. BOLINGOVER, away alertly and well handled, established a clear lead before reaching the stretch and raced greenly thereafter, but held BICKETT safe while under strong handling. BICKETT, outrun early, bore in badly during the stretch run and could not overtake the winner, although much the best of the others. CLEAR DAY raced evenly to the stretch and finished determinedly under brisk urging. WONDER SIR began fast, raced forwardly placed to the upper turn, then faltered. BRUN DOR began sluggishly. NIGHT MAN tired after racing well to the last furlong. RAYLOPER raced prominently to the stretch, then gave way. END ZONE was never a serious factor. OXFORD DON raced forwardly placed from the start, was wed ridden and moved into command entering the stretch, then gamely withstood a long drive to retain the advantage. COO saved ground when outrun to the upper turn, was taken out slightly for the drive, responded to brisk urging and closed stoutly, but could not reach the top one. HIKE, in hand to the stretch, made a good bid when set down in the drive, but could not better his position. SEGUNDO SOMBRA raced evenly and without mishap. TRANQUIL TIDE was hustled to the front early, made the pace to the upper turn, then faltered when challenged by OXFORD DON. POLO HIGHGOOD had early foot, but failed to stay. ARMED, away alertly, was forced wide entering the stretch, "responded readily when shaken up and, after disposing of BEST PROSPECT, won going away, then worked out seven furlongs in 1:254. BEST PROSPECT went to the front early, saved ground while making the pace until inside the stretch and held on willingly, but was not good enough for the winner. POMPS GAL raced evenly and had no mishap. CHALLORETTE could not keep up. DEBABY raced prominently to the stretch, then weakened. KNIGHTS HILL was outrun. BOBS PICK was never dangerous. QUINTER0 tired.
