Pacing Star to Aurora AURORA, 111., May 2. — Eddie Cobbs Jerry The First, who paced the fastest mile of the 1948 harness season, is due to arrive at Aurora Downs Monday, for the 60-night meeting, opening May 9. In his best performance of last year, Jerry The First paced the mile in 1:59%. His record for 1948 was 27 wins, one second and three thirds, out of 33 starts. His earnings were 5,187. Winner of both sprint and distance sections of the Aurora Pacing Derby last year, hell be pointed for the June 17 stake again this season.
