Add Two Extra Days To Monmouth Meeting TRENTON, N. J., May 2. — The New Jersey Racing Commission announced today that it had approved the application of the Monmouth Park Jockey Club for two extra racing days this summer. The meeting will open June 17, instead of June 20, as originally planned, and will run for 47 days to August 10. The Salvator Mile, the 10,000 stake for three-year-olds and upward, will be contested on June 18, a Saturday, instead of June 20. This is the second New Jersey race meeting to be extended this season. Recently, the commission authorized the Garden State Racing Association to continue its fall meeting five extra days to November 1. There will thus be 142 days of the sport this year. Garden State Park will operate for 50 days in split meeting, the limit permitted by law. Atlantic City has a forty-five day meeting, from August 11 to October 1.
