Illinois Notes SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111.. May % Mrs. J. L. Chesney, wife of the well known trainer on this circuit, was admitted to Berwyn Hospital, in Chicago, for a physical check-up. Sie is expected to be confined a day or two before being released, according to reports. John P. Beck today purchased for his own interest, Blenette, from M. D. White-house. W. F. Sovinski, owner and trainer of three head he brought in from Florida today, registered Foxstep, Grand Destiny and Restless Ruth with racing secretary Horace Wade. Andy Clutter left today with the modest string he will condition for Mrs. Helen S. Reineman on the Ohio circuit this season. The former rider is taking Elkhorn, Hook Up and Little Tony to Randall Park, near Cleveland, Ohio. Clutter reported that Nomic, recently aquired by Mrs. Reineman through the claiming box, has been sent to Lexington, Ky., to be bred to Equifox. Eldon Nelson checked in yesterday and joined his contract employer, Woolford Farm. Nelson has been vacationing at his home in Ponca City, Okla., since riding nothing short of sensationally in Florida during the winter months. J. Kel Houssels, who has a large string of horses in training on the West coast, was a visitor here today. He is en route from his home in Las Vegas, Nev., to Louisville, Ky., where he plans to see the 1949 edition of the Kentucky Derby next Saturday at Churchill Downs.
