Carter Gets 7,500 Offer To Meet Araujo in Title *Go BOSTON, Mass., May 28 UP.— Newly-crowned Worlds Lightweight Champion Jimmy Carter of New York has been offered 7,500 to defend his title here next month against George Araujo of Providence, R. I., according to promoter Sam Silverman. Silverman, who said he made the offer and would stage the match in a Boston baseball park, indicated that Carter was receptive. He said Carters manager Willie Keechum said however, before accepting any matches he would confer with the International Boxing Club. Araujo, one of the outstanding young boxers, holds both the New England featherweight and lightweight titles.
