The latter, quickest to begin, remained in close attendance of the pace, responded to late pressure, but was not good enough. WHIM WISE improved, position gradually in a good effort. ETERNAL MAY made up ground steadily. BUBBLE WORLD was going well at the end. MARSE ROBERT had no mishap. NATIVE ROSE went evenly. SILVER REWARD, unable to reach the early pace, failed to respond when sent to the inside in the stretch. The others were outrun. DEBONAIRE forced the pace to the far turn, moved away from the field entering the stretch and was under steady pressure to maintain the advantage. RABS SON, taken back and steadied to the stretch, rallied but was not good enough. TINTINA went along with the pace, came to the outside in the stretch, but was unable to menace. LITTLE-RICH had no mishap. PENCELL dropped far off the early pace and was unable to make up ground in the stretch. CAROLINA STAR went evenly. HANDY SORT quit NIGHT TSAR showed nothing. HENRY PAYNE lacked a closing rally. MESMERIZED weakened after setting the early pace. FIRESONG lacked a closing rally. MR. DUMJOHN was a trailer. TREVENA was outrun. FAIR APPRAISAL dwelt at the start, was sent up fast on the outside to hear contention before a half mile, responded when put to a drive in the late stages, and held on gamely after getting the lead. LEX, in hand while improving position gradually, closed fast between horses. FOUR CHANCES established the pace, saved ground and held on stubbornly. LIMASOL forced the pace, lacked a rally and went evenly through the stretch! JUDYS RUNNER kept along the inside while within striking .distance of the pace, swung to the outside in the stretch, but showed nothing. LAMBENT showed a dull effort.
