Ak-Sar-Ben Boosts Purses Of All Overnight Handicaps AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., May 28. — General manager J. J. Isaacson announced today that the purses of all overnight handicaps for the remainder of the meeting will be raised from ,500 to ,000. Those that have been raised to ,000 are the Memorial Day Handicap, the Board of Governors Handicap, the Man o War Handicap, the Whirlaway Handicap, the Cornhusker Handicap, the Kings Plate Handicap, the Queens Plate Handicap, the Ambassador Handicap and the Speed Handicap. This is in keeping with the policy of the management to offer better purses for better horses as the business warrants.
