DANADA RED went to the front after racing by KHAMS HOUR, steadily increased his advantage and drew out to win with something left. JATAK stumbled soon after the start, made up ground steadily after reaching full stride and closed willingly, but could not threaten the winner. VERANO lacked early foot and raced wide during the last three-eighths. VINITA MAJOR passed tired horses during the last quarter mile. ALRUSHA could not keep up after showing early foot. OMIPAL lacked early speed, was crowded to the inner "rail during the stretch run and lost all chance after being forced to take up sharply. KHAMS HOUR failed to stay after beginning fast. V. BOMB showed nothing. NO LEDDIE could not keep up. DOC STEARN quit after breaking alertly. Scratched— 27341 Donnadoon, 102. Overweight— Alrusha, 1 pound. SECOND RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. PRINCESS PINE, away alertly and well handled, dropped back after the start, made Hp ground steadily thereafter and, sent to the outside for the stretch run, responded to punishment and wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. LADY SERENATA, never far back, reached the lead between calls during the drive, but was unable to withstand the winner, , although much the best of the others. PEGGY LEWIS assumed command early, made the pace until nearing the finish, then faltered. JUST-MADE-IT lacked early foot, but closed fast. SUNNY LIMITED began sluggishly. BIG DANCE tired after engaging PEGGY LEWIS to the last eighth. WAYNE L. had no mishap. MAIN BET tired after showing early speed. CARTA VOLANTE was never dangerous. Scratched— 17393 Dreamy Karen, 107. LILS GADGET assumed an early lead, gave way to the winner before going a quarter, but continued .determinedly to be best of the others. VIXEN FIXIT, on the outside to the upper-turn, closed fast, but could not overtake the leaders. CORINNE T., never far back, faltered when set down through the stretch. PALLIS ROYAL began fast, but dropped back after the start and could not threaten thereafter. GRACES LADY raced wide. PENNWOVEN was outrun. PLAY EDA lost ground at the stretch turn and could not overtake the leaders when straight for the drive. BYRONIC had early speed, but tired and lasted to dead-heat with BLUE BADGE for fourth. IMPRESSMENT rank during the post parade, failed to stay after showing early speed. IMUELLER tired after racing prominently to the stretch. COLONEL PAP was outrun.
